“As I moved to the U.S. five years ago, I had to learn a new language. Besides learning vocabulary of the English language, I had to develop writing skills. It began in Johnson County Community College in 2013. I was taking writing classes as an ESL student. After, I realized I enjoy sharing stories, write descriptively, and learn more about English grammar.

KU Writing Center has given me different opportunities. I began working as a writing consultant; and then, I was able to become a writing fellow and a workshop facilitator. I am grateful for this. My favorite part about the KU Writing Center is that it has diversity and inclusiveness.

As a journalist and writer, I have a blog where I write my personal view on some important issues that are not highly discussed in media. Also, I am in the process of writing my book. My biggest goal in terms of writing is to finish my book after college and publish it.”
