Setting Writing Goals
All writers should make goals before they sit down and write. We highly recommend setting SMART writing goals. This stands for Smart, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-oriented goals. Click on the Power Point below for a presentation on how to create these types of writing goals, as well as how to break down large projects into smaller goals, and how to create a semester-long writing plan for yourself. Click on the slideshow in order to hear the presentation's narration. (Deaf and hard-of-hearing students may view the presentations "notes" function for a written text of the narration).
