Instructors

In addition to consulting with individual students, we can also meet with you or visit with your whole class. We offer bookmarks, class visits, and student reports—and you can request any of these services from this Web site.

The KU Writing Center offers several ways for you to encourage your students to work with a writing consultant. Think of us as a support for you and your students as you include more challenging writing assignments in your courses.

Instructor Writing Center Support

Schedule a Class Visit

Writing consultants are always available to visit your classes and demonstrate how a peer tutoring session works. Instructors of record must be present during class visits and workshops.

Request Writing Center Materials

We've created a fantastic informational video preview video explaining our services. We also have colorful magnets, flyers, and bookmarks available upon request. Put in your request online and we'll have them delivered promptly.

Request a Student Report

If you want to know which of your students have worked with a writing consultant, we can generate a report for you at the end of each academic semester. Advise your students that when they sign in for consulting they must give permission to disclose their information to instructors.

SafeAssign

SafeAssign makes it easier for instructors to detect electronic plagiarism and to deter their students from turning in work that is not entirely their own.
