Ask a Consultant - Live Chat

The KU Writing Center is now offering a new way for you to get help with your writing - a live online chat with a consultant!

Ask a Consultant is not meant to be a substitute for our face-to-face, online, or eTutoring consultations. It's purpose is to provide help with quick questions that don't require a full-length appointment.

What kinds of questions can I ask?

Our consultants will be able to help you with quick questions that cover a wide range of topics related to writing and the Writing Center. Some examples include:

  • Questions about citing a particular source using MLA, APA, Chicago, or another style.
  • Questions about the use of punctuation in a sentence.
  • Questions about our online appointment system or making an appointment.
  • Questions about navigating the website or using our online resources.

When is Ask a Consultant Available?
